fix is a San Francisco-based home design practice specializing in redesign—the transformation of your house using the furniture and accessories you already own.
At
fix, we combine design talent, natural people skills, and practical knowledge of construction
to provide affordable, efficient, and dramatic design solutions. Skilled with tools and with a eye for composition and color, our expertise is reinventing interiors with what’s already at hand. When hired for a one-day redesign, we’ll arrive at your house in the morning with tool bag and sketch pad and recreate your interior by the afternoon. You’ll be amazed to see how much can change by the end of the day, and you’ll never believe that it’s still all your own stuff.
Founded in 2000,
fix is the culmination of owner Alycia Freeman's 20 years in the fields of design, building, and decorating. Freeman earned a B.S. in Architecture and received specialized training in redesign techniques.
She is a certified member of the
Interior Redesign Industry Specialists (I.R.I.S.)
